People spot haunting image after missing teen jumps off cruise ship into shark-infested waters

Cameron Robbins jumped off a cruise ship off the Bahamas into 'shark-infested waters'.

People think they've spotted a haunting image in a video which shows teenager Cameron Robbins jump off a cruise ship into 'shark-infested waters'.

The 18-year-old from Louisiana - who was celebrating his high school graduation on a sunset cruise on 24 May - jumped overboard for a dare while on a cruise in the Bahamas.

According to a new video, which shows Robbins swimming in the dark sea, viewers think they've spotted a horrific outcome.

Watch below:

Robbins recently graduated from University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge on Sunday and was on a trip to the Bahamas with fellow students from several local high schools.

The group of friends were staying at Atlantis Paradise Island resort in Nassau.

Only a few hours after their arrival, Robbins and his friends attended a sunset party cruise.

At around 9.40pm, the 18-year-old was said to have jumped off the boat and into the ocean near Athol Island.

Robbins was last seen in dark waters before completely vanishing from view.

After just a few days, the large scale search was called off on 27 May.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force, with the assistance of the US Coast Guard Southeast, searched for Robbins with no success.

“We offer our sincerest condolences to Cameron Robbins’ family and friends,” they tweeted, explaining they were suspending the search.

Royal Bahamas Defense Force (RBDF) Commodore, Raymond King, has since provided an update, confirming that the area Robbins went to swim in 'is really shark infested'.

He said: "The probability of survival decreases significantly particularly if a person did not have on a life vest and particularly if a person is perceived to be intoxicated.

"I can tell you that area where an individual reportedly jumped over, it's an area that is really shark infested as well.

"It is so unfortunate but I don't want the family to lose hope."

And now, in new footage of the incident, viewers think they spotted a shark in the video.

One person commented: "The video doesn't lie, he was attacked by a shark and taken under."

Another added: "You can see the shark to the left of the video' and another was adamant they 'saw the fin' in the short video."

Viewers think image was that of a 'shark'.

Pictures on Robbins’ social media show he was a keen baseball player and has been described as a ‘fierce competitor’ by his coach.

The school’s baseball coach Justin Morgan said: “Cameron is a kid who is truly loved by his teammates, teachers, and fellow classmates.

“He is a fierce competitor on the baseball field. He is a hard worker both on and off of the playing field.

“Our school community is struggling right now but hoping for the very best.

“Our thoughts and prayers have been and will remain with the Robbins family during this difficult time.”
