A felon who went viral back in 2015 for coming face-to-face with a former classmate is back in jail with similar charges.

Nine years ago, Arthur Booth broke down in the dock when he realized his old schoolmate was the judge presiding over the hearing.

The defendant had been facing burglary charges in a Florida court before Judge Mindy Glaze paused proceedings and asked: "Did you go to Nautilus for middle school?"

Breaking down in tears, Booth replied: "Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness."

Glazer continued: "I'm sorry to see you and I always wondered what happened to you."

She then told the court: "This was the nicest kid in middle school. He was the best kid in middle school. I used to play football with him. Look what has happened."

Following that, Glazer went with Booth's family to greet him when he finished his ten-month prison sentence.

She embraced her former classmate, telling him: "Take care of your family. Try to get a job. Stay clean. You're going to do something good for somebody else."

Booth replied: "You better believe it. You better believe it."

Booth, now 58, faced his former classmate once more after he was arrested last week in connection with a series of crimes across Miami this month.

Miami Police say Booth on one occasion knocked on a victim's door pretending to be a plumber.

"Once inside the home, he went around the house, found a jewelry box, stole jewelry from the victim and fled in an unknown direction," police spokesman Freddie Cruz said.

Next, Booth posed as a plumber in another alleged incident.

Cruz stated: "Once inside the home he actually snatched the chain of the victim and fled."

In a separate alleged incident, police claim Booth asked a woman for directions before conducting 'another chain snatch'.

While law enforcement are aware of these three incidents, they believe Booth could be connected to other crimes in the Miami region.

Well, Booth came face-to-face with Glazer once more on Tuesday (27 August).

The suspect appeared visibly uncomfortable as he stood in court facing his former classmate.

As per the Daily Mail, Glazer said: "I want to say hi to Arthur. I wish it wasn't like this. I can't hear the case. I'm going to get another judge to handle it. I hope things work out for you."
