According to court documents, upon his arrest Lauper name dropped his famous mom Cyndi Lauper.
He even reminded officers of her biggest hit, allegedly telling a detective: "I grew up, my mom is Cyndi Lauper, 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun'."
Following his arrest, Lauper went on to tell police: “Mostly my head is in the right place, it’s my music.
“No, I was asking people to call my mom and call my life coach.”

According to the documents, which have been newly released to the public, Lauper went to say it was not his 'first rodeo'.
He said: “All I know is I look up and there’s guns in everybody’s face.
“It’s not really my first rodeo, coming from my family that I come from. And my mom and uncles and all that. So I was calm, bro.”

According to the documents he went on to brag about his wealth, boasting that his father had paid for his friend's lawyer.
He said: “I ain’t going to lie for you, I paid for his lawyer, so he took that bullet for me.”
It seems that his friend's lawyer was not the only thing that Lauper's dad David Thornton paid for either, as the actor was previously pictured bailing him out of jail with $20,000 in cash.
Thornton also accompanied Lauper along to a previous hearing.
