A British grandmother waiting to be executed by firing squad in Bali has made an unexpected move as she 'expects to be freed'.
In 2012, Lindsay Sandiford was caught trying to smuggle 11lb of cocaine worth around $2.1 million at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport after arriving from Bangkok, Thailand.
She was ultimately placed on death row and put behind bars in the notorious Kerobokan prison, where she has remained ever since.
But The Mirror reports Sandiford is convinced she will soon walk free, after new legislation means she may be taken off death row and be given a life sentence behind bars instead.

According to the Myanmar Accountability Project, a capital punishment verdict may be changed to a life prison term in the event of good behavior.
And the outlet reports the convicted criminal is so convinced she will walk free in the future, she has been giving her clothes away to her fellow inmates.
"Lindsay has slumped into depression because she's not been released yet," an insider told The Mirror.

The anonymous individual added: "She's given away all her clothes and things she had because she was expecting to be released already. But it's understood she will be released in a few months, along with other westerners.
"The new Indonesian president has, among his many changes, said he wants ro reduce the numbers in jail. Local people are being released, then overseas people are to be looked at. Already the Australian drug group known as the Bali Nine are back in Australia.
"The jails are so full. Rooms that normally hold 12 are now holding 16. So a new program is needed."
The prison has been in the headlines in recent years due to apparent levels of overcrowding.

Sandiford has reportedly been sharing a cell measuring 10ft by 8ft with 13 other women, which is intended to hold just three.
The prison was built to hold 350 inmates, but it was reported in 2017 that the detention centre had a staggering 1,400 prisoners.
Heather Mack, a US woman who served a 10-year sentence in the same prison, became friends with the British grandmother during her time behind bars.

Mack told The Mirror: "I am friends with Lindsay but she has been difficult to speak to recently."
"She spends all day pretty much alone in her cell and doesn't mix so much with the other prisoners. She snaps at me for no reason but I still make an effort with her."
