The Night Stalker gave a creepy response when he was asked why he murdered his victims.
You may have heard of the American serial killer, rapist, and burglar Richard Ramirez who terrorized Los Angeles and later San Francisco in the 80s.
His 14-month long killing spree took the lives of at least thirteen people.

Known as the Night Stalker, Ramirez decided to murder people in the dead of night, breaking into their homes and tying them up before carrying out sick and twisted acts on them.
His victims rarely survived, and if they did, carried extensive injuries and trauma from his attack.
Six days after his last known murder, Ramirez was caught and arrested in 1985.

He was charged with 13 counts of murder, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 burglaries and sentenced to death.
After Ramirez's slew of murders caught the attention of the media, he remained somewhat smug and rarely gave interviews or answers as to why he committed his heinous crimes.
But he did break that in 1991 when he agreed to go on The Maury Povich Show.

Maury Povich had previously interviewed Ginny Petersen, who had nearly become a victim of Ramirez.
She claimed that she and her husband were almost shot and killed during the night.
When Ramirez appeared on the show, he was on Death Row and spoke about what people are capable of doing (pretty grim stuff) and his own ramblings about the unfairness of life.
But one thing he refused to answer was why he killed his victims.

When Maury asked the question, the killer smirked, covered his mouth and said: “No comments.”
He continued: “No comments. I cannot answer this at this time.”
After the clip resurfaced on social media, people have been left convinced that he loved the attention he was garnering and thirsted for his fame.

One person wrote on X: “Look at his expression. He loved every moment of it.”
Another commented: “He doesn't look remorseful at all!”
Someone else added: “Ramirez provided various explanations, including claims that he was under the influence of Satan and that he was seeking revenge against society for perceived injustices. However, his true motivations remain unclear.”
After the interview, you’d think he’d have been close to his execution date - but you’d be wrong.
As it happens, Ramirez died from Lymphoma in 2013 while awaiting his execution date.
