Heart-stopping dashcam footage has been released showing the moment a driver almost lost her life.
Being in any kind of car crash can be a terrifying thing. Some people end up with life changing injuries or even worse.
Thankfully, one lucky driver was able to walk away with neither despite being only moments away from death.

26-year-old Sydney Thomas was working as she drove her Sysco semi-truck Clark Memorial Bridge in Louisville, Kentucky on March 1 before she got into her accident.
While driving over the bridge a pickup truck driver ended up swerving into her and hitting the truck head on, causing her to lose control and veered off the road and off the side of the bridge.
By some good fortune, Thomas’ truck managed to stop before it fell off the edge, leaving her screaming in terror as she now hung 100ft over the edge of the Ohio River.

The dashcam footage that captured the whole incident has now begun circulating on social media and showed just how quickly things went from bad to worse.
Speaking to local media, Thomas recalled the incident.
She said: “When I went through the railing, I was like, ‘Wow, this is a crazy way to die'.
"I really thought I was going to die. Sometimes you pray, and I'm guilty of this, I pray, and I don't think God is listening. But he was that day."
The terrifying ordeal didn’t end just because the car didn’t crash into the water however, as Thomas was left dangling for around 40 minutes before she was rescued, saying the truck could have plunged at any moment.

During this time, Thomas also considered jumping out of the truck into the water below to give herself the best chance of survival.
She said: "I would rather drown trying to swim than be submerged underneath the water and not being able to get out."
After the accident, firefighter Bryce Carden said: "There was 40 people on scene. I know there was 39 other people besides me that would want to go over the edge.

“They would want to be that person. It wasn't just me that was like, 'Hey, I'll go'. I know every one of these people would hook themselves up and do that if they were called upon."
The pickup driver, Trevor Branham, 33, now faces charges including driving with a suspended license and wanton endangerment.
He is scheduled to make his next court appearance in June.
