Elon Musk thinks one-eighth of the population will be using Twitter monthly by 2024.
Look, the world has been pretty weird since Elon took over Twitter, from bringing a sink into the office to mass firing employees, it's getting hard to be shocked by the tech mogul.
However, his latest prediction that the 'free speech' social media site will have over one billion users monthly by 2024 seems pretty out there.

Check out Elon's first day here:
Elon shared slides today, 27 November, from his Twitter company talk, the CEO indicated that 'new user signups are at an all-time high' and that 'hate speech impressions are lower'.
He went on to add: "I think I see a path to Twitter exceeding a billion monthly users in 12 to 18 months."

Musk went on to suggest a Twitter 2.0 featuring 'long form tweets' and 'advertising as entertainment', 'encrypted DMs' and 'payments'.
We're not exactly sure what the payments will be for but, hey, it's going to be a wild ride finding out.
And it's safe to say that people had some pretty mixed reactions.

One user wrote: "I like the data that I see. Twitter 2.0 is a new era of social platforms. And you running it for less than 1 month. We have an exciting future ahead!"
While another suggested that: "Let’s go! Twitter 2.0 should make the character limit 420 instead of that annoying 280," to which Elon said 'good idea'.
However, others weren't sold on the Tesla CEO's Twitter predictions and changes, saying: "Elon, congrats on acquiring the world's largest digital art gallery. We kindly request higher res uploads and a full screen 'takeover' button for images & video."

While another had enough of the app altogether: "THATS IT, Been a loyal supporter since 2006 and this is the final straw. Elon has turned this app into a disaster and has been falling off worst then the stock market in 2008 & it’s only getting worse. Deactivating ASAP & taking my talents to Facebook."
What do you think of Twitter having over one billion potential users and month? And do you think Elon's proposed changes will work?
