It looks like Elon Musk's mom might not have too much faith in her son's fighting abilities as she's begging people to stop encouraging a bout between him and Mark Zuckerberg.
A real snowball effect in action, it only took the mere jokey mention of a 'cage match' between Musk and Zuckerberg before there were talks of training, pay-per-view streams and Dana White.
The idea of a fight between the two social media moguls came about after it emerged that Zuckerberg's company, Meta, was rumoured to be working on an app to rival Twitter.

Musk said he'd be up for a 'cage match' to show Zuckerberg who was boss, and the Facebook founder was more than willing to accept as he shared the proposal on Instagram, writing: "Send me location."
UFC president White has insisted both men are 'dead serious' about going ahead with the bout, and it seems there's only one person in the world who doesn't want it to happen: Musk's mom.
After Musk responded to Zuckerberg's post to say the fight would be happening at the 'Vegas Octagon', Maye Musk suggested the pair instead take part in a less hands-on battle.

She wrote: "No joking. Fight with words only. In armchairs. 4 feet apart. The funniest person wins."
Maye's efforts to stop her son fighting Zuckerberg, who is trained in jiu-jitsu, have come in all shapes and sizes, with one post seeing her claim that the fight had been 'canceled' to her 'great relief'.
She later added: "Actually, I canceled the fight. I haven’t told them yet. But I will continue to say the fight is canceled, just in case…"
Unfortunately, Maye's attempts haven't done much to stop people getting excited about the fight.

Last week, podcast host Lex Fridman made clear he was on board with the idea as he wrote: "A jiu jitsu match between Zuck and Elon would definitely be a fun plot twist in this simulation. I'm all for it."
Maye quickly scolded Fridman for his endorsement, however, responding: "Don’t encourage this match!"
The concerned mom has attempted to get people on board with her idea for a non-violent bout, suggesting an encounter with 'three questions each' in which the 'funniest answers win'.

"Who agrees?," she wrote.
Not many people, I'm afraid.
"Sometimes a sons just gotta throw hands," one person replied, as another joked: "I still say mud wrestling."
Maye does have a few people on her side though, with many admitting it would be funny to see Zuckerberg and Musk attempt to out-wit each other with their humour.

Maybe they could do both?
