Without warning, the ride appeared to malfunction, dropping passengers 50 feet.
Local police launched an investigation into the accident, but staff who were meant to be responsible for the maintenance and safety of the ride fled.
The shocking video remains though and shows the moment the ride begins to spin out of control at its apex.

As it begins to make its descent, the fairground ride then hurtles towards the ground as it malfunctions.
Instead of slowing the descent like it is supposed to, it just kept falling down, crashing into the floor with impressive force.
Those still on board are thrown from their seats as onlookers scream in terror at the scene, as they realise what had just unfolded before them.
One eyewitness said: “We saw people falling from the swing when it went up. There were children and women sitting in it.”

Moments later the crowds would alert the authorities to what had happened.
Deputy Superintendent Harsimran Singh Bal later told the Indian Express: "A carnival was being organised and the eyewitness told us that there was a technical snag in the swing and it had fallen.”
He later revealed that there would be a full investigation into the accident.

There was also an investigation into whether the people who organised the event had permission to do so.
However, festival organiser Sunny Singh hit back at the claims and insisted that the ride had been operated on many occasions.
He told the press: "We will find out how this happened.
"It seems there was a technical issue. Earlier too, we have organised several fetes but this has never happened.
"We will cooperate with the police and administration."
