A Domino's delivery driver has gone viral for asking a customer tip her before even handing over the food.
Once or twice a year, I'll treat myself to splashing the cash on a Domino's delivery - and by treat I mean a large half-and-half pizza, a side of chicken strippers, wedges, those cookies and a big tub of garlic and herb sauce. And in the time I sit waiting for the delivery, it's fair to say I've built up a pretty impressive hanger, yet this Domino's customer did well to keep their cool. Prepare to cringe in second-hand embarassment:
A clip uploaded to TikTok by @user626366461 quickly went viral on the platform showing the awkward moment a Dominos delivery driver showed up at a customers house, before wasting no time at all to ask for a tip prior to the pizza box even touching the customer's hands.

In the video, the delivery driver passes over the pizza box at the same tip as curtly stating: "Tip."
After being met with a shocked silence, the delivery driver points out that the customer has a car to 'drive' and get their pizza if they weren't willing to tip. The customer explains she chose home delivery for her own 'convenience' and thanks the driver alongside telling her to 'have a nice day' before swiftly closing the door without giving her any extra cash.
The Domino's worker resolves to the now-closed front door: "Well, come get it next time."
And it's not taken long for people to flood to the comments to weigh in on the exchange, the video having left viewers divided.

One TikToker said: "Lol, you’re cheap!! Lmao! Who doesn’t tip?!?"
"No tip…? I could never," another added.
A third echoed: "Yeah sorry I’m on drivers side on this one."

However, one person argued: "If someone asks for a tip before the food is even passed over they ain't getting s**t, especially when they are talking about me having a car."
A second viewer said: "If someone literally said 'tip?' to me before I had the chance to even reach in my pocket and grab it, I simply wouldn’t give it to her anymore."
"How are you asking for a tip before the pizza is even in her hands," someone else questioned.
Another person joked: "After that, I'd order everyday just to make her drive for no tip."

On the company website, it says: "Tips are a big deal to our drivers, so thank you.
"We'll make sure your actual driver gets your actual tip. And, we'll see you again soon."
Earlier this year, Domino's US also introduced 'carryout tips' for customers in-store.

"It takes skill to get pizza from a Domino's store to your door," said Art D'Elia, Domino's executive president and chief marketing officer.
"As a reward, Domino's is giving a $3 tip to online carryout customers who take the time and energy out of their day to act as their own delivery drivers. After all, we think they deserve it."
