The Big Mac is probably the most famed burger in the world - as much as that comment might infuriate Burger King.
It doesn't matter where you live in the world, we've all grown up with the Big Mac and have consumed it at some point or other - even if you claim to have never had one before, you know what it is.
The iconic burger was first created back in 1967 by a McDonald's franchise in Pennsylvania, and its popularity grew so much that it was enrolled onto the menu in every branch throughout the US.

So, for 37 years, the fast-food chain didn't serve its now-signature meal - instead, the menu for the McDonald's brothers Richard and Maurice centered around barbecued flavours.
The Big Mac, now available in more than 100 countries across the globe, is made up of two beef patties, a 'special' sauce, cheese, lettuce, pickles and onions, with three sesame seed buns - two on either side and one in the middle.
That's the original burger as we all know it, but it comes in a variety of ways and sizes - depending on what country you're in, mainly due to religion.

For example, in Israel, they don't dish out the cheese on the burger due to it being kosher.
Now that we know its origins and how adored it is... why on earth is a former McDonald's chef now urging fans of the burger to 'never' order it again?
Chef Mike Haracz took to TikTok to explain: "Don't order a Big Mac, you should be ordering this every time.
"A McDouble like a mac you save like $2 and if a restaurant is not willing to do that for you, maybe don't go to that one go to a different one because this is a superior way.

"A McDouble only has one slice of cheese, just like a Big Mac."
It comes as many of the fast-food giant's branches allow you to easily customize your meals these days.
He added: "There's no middle bun so much better and cheaper."

Mike has shot to fame on the social media platform, where he boasts 314,000 followers, by sharing insider information about McDonald's.
He worked as the Manager of Culinary Innovation for the US menu between 2015 to 2019.
While chatting to UNILAD, he also described his former role as helping to 'develop, optimize, test, and help launch new menu items with a variety of supplier partners'.
With that in mind, it's safe to say that Mike knows his onions and has been sharing all kinds of content on TikTok about the global fast food chain.
