Social media users have had mixed reactions to a viral video showing shoppers taking revenge on a Mercedes parked across two spaces in a car park.
Every driver will know the struggle of trying to find a parking space in a busy car park, and the pain of thinking you've found a spot only to discover there's a tiny car smugly nestled between the lines.
Driving around in circles can be frustrating at the best of times, but it can be even more annoying when you realise that one driver has parked in a way that prevents others from getting in next to them, either by straying too close to the lines or, as in this particular video, seemingly ignoring them altogether.

Shared by TikToker John, who goes by the handle 'johnnymarocco', the video sees John walking through a car park towards another customer who is drawing on the ground in chalk.
Across the centre of the car park a huge arrow points to the Mercedes that has parked directly between two spaces, while words around it read 'douchebag', 'small penis' and 'it's not a Bentley'.

Shoppers appear to have hit back at the driver of the Merc by surrounding their vehicle with shopping trolleys to prevent them from easily moving and to highlight the amount of space wasted by their seemingly selfish parking, and alongside the video John wrote that 'this is what happens when your park like an a**.'
According to the TikToker, an increasing number of customers got involved in the revenge mission as 'everyone that came out of the store that went to return their carts would add theirs in front of the car.'
The video has been viewed more than two million times since it was posted last week, though viewers have had mixed reactions to the way customers got their own back on the driver.

Many people agreed with the backlash and showed their support in the comments of the video, with a couple of viewers even going as far to suggest more extreme ways of hitting out at the driver.
One person responded: 'Next time use 26” heavy duty zip ties and attach the carts the door handles & bumpers.'
Others, however, have said the response was 'dramatic', while some pointed out that there may be an unknown reason why the driver of the Mercedes parked over two spaces, writing: 'What if the person was handicapped and needed room for a wheelchair but the handicap spots were full?'

It's unclear how the driver of the Merc responded when they saw their car, but I'm sure it did not come as a pleasant surprise.
