A pizza delivery driver has received an outpouring of support on GoFundMe after having a 'rough fall' on a family's front porch.

Barbara Gillespie, 72, was delivering pizzas to a family's house when she took a nasty tumble on the front porch.

After seeing the delivery worker's fall via their doorbell's camera and how Barbara was 'only concerned' about the family's pizza order rather than herself, Lacey and Kevin Keighron decided to try and raise a 'tip' for the Domino's worker.

Catch the heartwarming moment Barbara is told about the GoFundMe here:

The GoFundMe - set up by Lacey and her husband - reads: "[We] are trying to fundraise for our Dominos delivery driver Barbara. Today she took a rough fall on our front porch while delivering our food.

"We would like to bless her by bringing by a 'tip' to help her with anything she may need. She is an older woman who fell and only cared about the food she dropped.

"Let’s show her some kindness and take off some of this burden that our economy is causing the older generations especially!! Thank you all."

Barbara is still working at the age of 72.

At the time of writing, the GoFundMe has received $256,00 (£213,000) of its $200,000 goal (£165,000) and 15,700 people having donated so far.

As well as setting up the GoFundMe page, Lacey explained she's offered to take Barbara to the doctors if she starts feeling unwell following on from the fall.

In an update posted to TikTok, she reassured Barbara has currently only reported having a bit of a scrape on her arm and bruised knees.

15,700 have donated, so far, to the GoFundMe page.

Towards the end of last week, Lacey updated followers on Facebook the Domino's worker has handed in her 'two weeks notice' and is 'officially retiring' as a result of the generous donations.

In another update posted to TikTok, Lacey shared an interview of Barbara reflecting on how her life has completely changed since the day she delivered pizza to Lacey and her family.

The 72-year-old said: "I was very tired that day and you can tell by the way I was walking up to the house and I do have bad knees.

"I was either going to have operations or I'm going to have to quit work and I just prayed and prayed and prayed.

"They [Lacey and Kevin] were two angels sent to help me, yes and I love them for it. I really do. It's just a deep heartfelt thank you from the bottom of my heart to thank these people.

"I still have to keep pinching myself. wondering if this is real or am I in a dream."

A Domino's spokesperson told Fox: "Barbara is a beloved member of our family and she was recently honored with Team Member of the Year for 2022 within my company. She is also a favorite of our customers and always has a smile on her face.

"We are all very thrilled that these caring customers were able to help her transform her life so meaningfully. We are very happy for her."

UNILAD has contacted Domino's for further comment.
