An upcoming documentary-series looking at Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s life is set to reveal her grandfather’s reaction after being hit with sexual abuse allegations.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard was released from prison just after Christmas after serving seven years of her 10-year prison sentence for her involvement in the murder of her mom, Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard.
During her murder trial and while serving her sentence, the now 32-year-old explained the abuse she had suffered at the hands of Dee Dee, who is believed to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

However, while speaking to Lifetime for an upcoming documentary-series, she explained that another family member had also allegedly abused her.
The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which premieres January 5, is expected to highlight Gypsy Rose’s life behind bars, as well as her family life in the run up to her mother's murder, which she planned with then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, who was sentenced to life in prison.
Gypsy Rose has also accused her grandfather, Claude Pitre, of sexually abusing her for about a year.

He has denied the accusations against him.
Recently speaking to PEOPLE about the alleged abuse, she said: “I've gotten to a point where I can stand on my own two feet and say, this happened to me and I'm not going to let it affect me anymore.
“And that's why I'm talking about it now. And I think for me, making it known that it happened might prevent him from doing the same thing to another family member or another child or another person because he's still alive."
In the docuseries, Pitre addressed the allegations when asked about them and responded by blaming Gypsy Rose.

“She was the one that was trying to touch me, and I’d say no, don’t do that. She started doing that when she was about 4-years-old.”
When told about his reply, Gypsy Rose insisted she wanted ‘nothing to do with him'.
She has also previously explained to PEOPLE that she spoke to her mother about the abuse she suffered, to which Dee Dee gave her own shocking admission.

“I fully told her everything that happened, and she proceeded to let me know that he had done the same thing to her when she was a child as well.
“It was hard for us to both come to grips with the fact that we had both been abused by the same person. And I think it makes me wonder what else, what other kind of forms of abuse did she suffer that I don't know about?”
