Harry Styles fans 'ran for their lives' as a gunman launched an attack next to the arena he was playing at in Copenhagen.
The 'Late Night Talking' singer, 28, was due to perform at the Royal Arena venue during his Love On Tour show in the city yesterday when a gunman fatally shot three people and left four people in critical condition in hospital.
Many of the former One Direction fans were waiting in the Denmark shopping mall which was just yards away from the music venue when the shooting took place.

The concert was cancelled in the wake of the events in the capital city, which happened just after 5.30pm local time.
Styles took to Twitter to share his devastation at the shooting, writing: “I’m heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love.
“I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other. H.”

This then prompted his fans to respond with their heartbreaking version of events, including one fan who recalled how they 'ran for their lives' after hearing gunfire.
They wrote: “Just got to our temporary hotel room.. we have no luggage, our hotel was right beside the mall and my mom and I were just across from the shooting… We ran for our lives today."
“Tho this day prob has been the worst in my life it still brought us together. I was trapped in the hotel right beside the mall with a bunch of other fans and because of that it never felt like I was alone,” someone else admitted.

“I’m stuck in Copenhagen by myself, i’m so scared,” someone else wrote in the aftermath.
“I was in the mall, we had just eaten and were heading to the arena when it started,” a different fan recalled. “He started [shooting] right at the restaurant we had just left. We were hiding in a ditch where he was arrested. I have never been so scared in my life. What should have been a happy night ended terribly.”
“Dear H, as one of the people who experienced this episode before your concert tonight I want you to know that I appreciate you cancelling the concert tonight! It was a deeply traumatising event and I’m glad we were safe in the Royal Arena. Ily and hope to see you another time,” wrote someone else.

Another fan who was wrapped up in the tragedy added: “This has been such a scary day I’m so sorry to everyone who was affected by this. Awful. In my hotel room feeling so panicky but happy to be safe. I’m here for anyone who needs anything. We’re in this together.”
