If you ever needed more of a reason to not go to Australia...
Look, no hate on Australia, it seems wonderful, but the idea of having to check my shoes every time before I put them on incase a deadly bug is hiding within? Or praying that snakes don't just fall through my ceiling and start fighting on the floor next to me? I'd rather not take my chances.
And a family in Queensland - particularly a young girl - had an extremely lucky escape, spotting a deadly animal hiding next to the child's dolls and stuffed toys just in time. Prepare to feel your skin crawl:
Much to the family's horror, they found a snake nestled among the little girl's toys and not just any old snake, but red-bellied black snake which are often spotted in eastern parts of Australia.

The medium-sized reptiles are described as having a 'moderate to robust build and head barely distinct from the neck', and a largely black body with a red-underbelly (as per its name), according to the Australian Museum.
According to the Australian Geographic, the snakes are venomous with their bites potentially proving fatal.
Several people in Australia are bitten by them each year, but there hasn't been any recorded deaths.

Like many animals, the snakes are actually quite timid and will only active aggressively if they feel threatened.
Following the unexpected discovery in their daughter's bed, the Aussie family called in Snake Catchers Brisbane & Gold Coast to help them remove their unwanted guest.
Sharing a photo of the snake amid the young girl's pink unicorn bedding, the snake-catching service wrote on Facebook: "This Highly Venomous Red-Bellied Black snake was relocated from a child’s bed this morning in Jimboomba after trying to blend in with some cuddle toys."
They proceeded to post a video of the snake being removed onto the bed, placed on the bedroom floor and happily slithering into a large sack.

As to how the snake ended up in the child's room, it's believed that it came through an open door of the house.
People have since shared their thoughts on the shocking discovery, with one writing: "Well I am not moving to Jimboomba in a hurry lol."
"That's it I'm moving," quipped another, as a third wrote: "Oh hell to the no!! Nope nope nope."

Meanwhile someone else labelled it 'lucky' that the reptile was found.
Others noted how relaxed the snake seemed to be when it was moved.
A Facebook user said: "Wow, such a chill buddy! Getting into the bag by himself and all."

And a second added: "Pretty chill snake! Lucky it was found before the little girl gave it a scare."
