If there's one thing 99.999% of humans are paranoid about accidentally eating, it's raw chicken.
If you've managed to escape food poisoning from salmonella, count yourself insanely lucky. It'll floor you for weeks, and you'll be borderline terrified of 'pink looking chicken' forever.
As well as making you ill with sickness, cramping and sweating, some really severe cases can actually end in death.

While the majority of us know how dangerous it is to eat raw meat, one guy decided to conduct his own risky experiment.
John, from Florida, decided to see 'what would happen' if he ate raw chicken for 100 days on the trot while documenting the experience online, uploading the majority of his videos with the caption 'eating raw chicken until I get a tummy ache.'
John started his online journey on 19 January, sharing the videos of himself chowing down uncooked meat everyday on to his Instagram page.
Due to how dangerous his chicken-based experiment could potentially be, John has gone viral, with people checking in to watch as he's often filmed sitting in front of the camera with a raw chicken breast in his hand and a glass of raw eggs on the table.

“Day one of eating raw chicken for a hundred days, or until I get a tummy ache. Do not try this at home. Follow me to see what happens,” he said in one video before taking a bite of the chicken, and washing it down with a glass of raw eggs.
He originally tried to make a TikTok series of his meat-related madness, but the platform kept removing his videos. After moving to Instagram to film his journey, John's now amassed over 400,000 followers.
So far 27 days have passed, and despite the high chances of getting severely ill, he's somehow doing pretty good.

“What’s the worst thing that’s gonna happen? I’ll s**t myself for a week or something, but I’ve probably done worse things than that before in my life,” John told Vice.
“I try to put disclaimers up all the time that I don’t think anyone else should do this,” he added. “Even in my nutritional research, there are better raw foods to be eating, like beef. This is just a personal experiment for me.”
However, on the CDC website, it states: "In the United States, people consume chicken more than beef, pork, or turkey. When cooked, chicken can be a nutritious choice, but raw chicken can be contaminated with Campylobacter, Salmonella, or Clostridium perfringens germs.

"If you eat undercooked chicken, you can get a foodborne illness, also called food poisoning. You can also get sick if you eat other foods or beverages that are contaminated by raw chicken or its juices.
"CDC estimates that every year in the United States about 1 million people get sick from eating contaminated poultry."
