A woman has shared a warning after revealing that she fell ill after keeping the air conditioning on overnight.
Liana Foster had been enjoying her holiday in Turkey when she started to feel unwell.
The 24-year-old woke up with a sore throat, and then noticed that she felt 'groggy' and her mom Lynette, 52, saw that she had developed white spots on her tonsils.

Liana went to hospital with her mom where she was placed on an IV drip and spent about five hours in the hospital.
Doctors diagnosed her with tonsillitis, an inflammation of the tonsils which can cause difficulty swallowing, a sore throat, and tender lymph nodes.
But it was the cause of the tonsillitis which has led Foster to issue a warning against anyone who wants to sleep with the air con on.
The content creator and scientist from London revealed that medics told her that her tonsillitis had likely been caused by the air conditioning unit in her room.

While air conditioners are a helpful way to keep cool in hot weather, if not properly cleans and maintained they can develop mould on their interior.
And considering this is a machine which is designed to disperse air through a room, having mould inside to be blown everywhere could pose a health risk.
Recounting her ordeal, Foster said: “I was really shaky. I couldn’t eat or drink.“I thought it was COVID again.

“My temperature was bad, my body was aching."
She added: “I went to hospital and they said I have a really bad case of tonsillitis.
"They said it can happen from the air conditioner. It’s been pretty dull for the last few days of holiday.”

Foster went on to recall how they had the air conditioner on in the room.
She said: “The first night we had it [the air conditioner] on really low in the room.
“I think I sleep through my mouth more. It made me ill.”
The 25-year-old warned about using an air conditioning unit in a hotel as it may not be properly cleaned and maintained.

She said: “When it comes to the hotel, they are not going to maintain it.
“They say it can be mouldy air. The doctor said it was most likely from the air conditioner."
Foster went on to highlight that her infection had led to some unpleasant medication, saying: “I couldn’t consume oral antibiotics so I had to get injections for three days and twice a day. I was in a lot of pain.”
She added: “I believe if we didn’t sleep with the air conditioner on, it would have been fine."
