Warning: This article contains graphic images and video which some readers may find distressing.

The human body goes through a lot, particularly the heart, and now that people have seen what it looks like in real-life, they’re reevaluating their life choices.

Stress, alcohol, smoking and ultra-processed foods can all put the human heart in a bad position, but not many people realize just how hard the organ works.

Think about it. It’s tucked away in your chest, and you never have to see just how hard it pumps blood around your veins.

So, you couldn’t know that the little thing is literally trying its best to keep you alive.

But a viral video on X, formerly Twitter has opened the eyes of social media users to the strain their heart goes through and now they’re vowing to make some much-needed changes to take the weight off.

The video, which was posted by @helios and reposted by @Bigqadi shows a human heart hooked up to tubes as it tries to pump outside of the body.

In all honesty, it looks like the poor little guy is struggling to keep up with what’s needed from him, and viewers feel the same way.

The caption claimed: “The fact that it pumps this hard when it’s in normal mode makes me want to reevaluate ever stressing or getting mad about anything ever again.”

One person who agreed wrote: “It is actually crazy that this is how it beats at a ‘normal’ state. I can’t even imagine the speed at which it beats when my senses are heightened or when I’m mad.”

Another shared: “Bein outside the body is normal mode??? That heart stressed as hell literally fighting for its life lmfao.”

Someone else was sad for how people treat it, writing: “And people do drugs and make this poor thing work overtime.”

Another user vowed to change: “I swear man, when you find out how much negative emotions and stress affects your body, you will become so much more carefree and nonchalant. Be protecting my health & peace from now on.”

“The heart is the hardest-working muscle in the entire body. It is a marvel of engineering and it is one of the few (if not the only) things in the body that is governed by electrical pulses,” claimed a commenter, whilst someone else said: “Now I’m reevaluating stress. I’m smiling until Christmas, I’ll update folks later.”

Those who watched the clip just could not believe that their heart was working that hard to keep them alive, and it made a lot of people thankful for having such an organ.

For those who do not know what your organ does for you every single second of every single day, the Cleveland Clinic describes it as: “Your muscular heart, the main organ in your cardiovascular system, is vital for life.

“Its parts work together to move blood through your body in a coordinated way. It constantly sends oxygen to your cells and takes away waste. Many conditions can affect this organ and keep it from working well.”

So, if you want to help it out a little, you can throw it a bone and take on healthier habits like the commenters on the thread.
