Jason Momoa was involved in a ‘head-on crash with a motorcyclist’ in LA on Sunday (24 July).
The incident happened around 11:00am when 21-year-old motorcyclist Vitaliy Avagimyan jumped lanes and collided with Momoa’s vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Momoa was not injured while Avagimyan sustained ‘minor, non-life threatening injuries’.

The crash occurred on Old Topanga Canyon Road and authorities said: “The [rider] crossed over the double yellow lines into the eastbound lanes, directly into the path of Jason Momoa’s vehicle.
“As a result of this collision, Avagimyan was ejected from his motorcycle. After the collision, Momoa exited his vehicle to assist Avagimyan and was able to flag down a passing motorist to call 911.”
Avagimyan was then ‘transported by ambulance to Northridge hospital for medical treatment of minor, non-life threatening injuries’.

UNILAD has approached Momoa’s representatives for comment.
Momoa himself is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and often shares photos of his collection on social media.
Back in May, Momoa sparked concern that he may have suffered a motorbike-related injury after he posted a photo to Instagram of himself having an MRI scan, just days after he was photographed performing his own motorcycle stunts in Rome while filming the tenth instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise.
Momoa, whose head was in a brace in the snap, captioned the post: “You got to break some eggs to make an omelette,” fuelling speculation he’d suffered an injury.

Fans were quick to express concern for Momoa, 42, in the comment section beneath his post, with many writing: “Hope you’re OK!”
Another Instagrammer told the Aquaman star: “Oh no, hope it’s nothing too bad” and a second echoed: “Oh my? What’s happened? Get well soon.”
Other comments included: “Full support bro” and “Sending love,” while one disgruntled fan wrote: “Why post this if you aren’t going to respond when people are concerned and want to know what happened?”
Even Momoa’s famous pals were worried, with Gal Gadot penning: “Oh no!” and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt adding: “Hope you’re OK brother!”

Momoa is no stranger to on-set injuries and when promoting his 2018 blockbuster Aquaman, he reeled off a list of gnarly wounds he’d sustained on set during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
According to MailOnline, he told DeGeneres at the time: “I messed up my eyes. I just got something in it that kinda cut it up, and then I’ve gotta get surgery. I have a hernia, I’ve got ribs out. I’m just getting beat up.”
