Joe Biden was caught on a hot mic calling a Fox News reporter a 'stupid son of a b*tch' following his latest confrontation with the right wing news channel.
During a photo opportunity on Monday, January 24, Biden was possibly unaware he was still on camera when he received a question from Fox News's White House correspondent Pete Doocy about inflation.

However, the surprising exchange quickly went viral after being picked up on C-Span, with Doocy having asked the president, 'Do you think inflation is a political liability in the midterms?'
'It’s a great asset – more inflation. What a stupid son of a b*tch,' Biden apparently replied.

Unsurprisingly the comment has prompted fresh attacks on Biden in right wing circles, though Doocy himself has laughed the comments off, claiming he didn't even hear them at the time.
'Yeah, no one has fact checked him and said it’s not true,' he said later on Fox News, telling Sean Hannity during a subsequent appearance that 'within about an hour of that exchange, [Biden] called my cellphone and he said, 'It’s nothing personal, pal'.'
Doocy has clashed with Biden on a number of occasions over the course of the past year, with the president often appearing a combination of frustrated and amused by his line of questioning.
But the journalist said that following the incident the pair had 'cleared the air', revealing 'we went back and forth and we were talking about just kind of moving forward, and I made sure to tell him that I’m always going to try to ask something different than what everybody else is asking. And he said, ‘You’ve got to.’ And that’s a quote from the president. So I’ll keep doing it.'

But not everyone's convinced that Biden's accidentally-public upbraiding of Doocy was all that accidental, with CNN journalist Jake Tapper saying, 'The microphone was literally right in front of him, it’s not like he was walking into a back room and forgot that he had one clipped on his lapel, it was right in front of him,' before showing a picture of the president smiling after making his salty remark, The Independent reports.
Meanwhile others have pointed out that Biden isn't the only politician to have taken a dim view of Doocy, with one person sharing a clip from 2017 in which the late Republican senator John McCain also slammed him for his pro-Trump questioning, asking him, 'Why would you say something that stupid? Why would you ask something that dumb?'
