Frozen star Josh Gad has slammed Elon Musk after he posted an Adolf Hitler meme.
The Tesla and SpaceX figurehead sparked controversy online after commenting on the the trucker protests in Canada, which have seen hundreds taken into custody after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked an act granting law enforcement the ability to arrest disruptive individuals.
The protests are standing against COVID mandates for truckers re-entering Canada from the US, with the 'Freedom Convoy' pledging to 'hold the line' and 'refuse to bow to abuses of power'.

Musk, whose commentary on current affairs is normally quite flippant, posted a meme in response to a report about financial firms being ordered to cease transactions from more than 30 crypto wallets tied to funding the protests.
In response to the article, Musk tweeted a meme that shows a photo of Hitler with the text, 'Stop comparing me to Justin Trudeau. I had a budget.'
It was widely criticised, with the Auschwitz Memorial even replying, 'Using the image of Adolf Hitler and therefore exploiting the tragedy of all people who suffered, were humiliated, tortured and murdered by the totalitarian regime of Nazi Germany created by him is sad and disturbing. It disrespects the memory of all victims and hurts many people.'
Gad, who's openly spoken about his Jewish roots and criticised 'fellow Jews' who support Donald Trump, also tweeted, 'The lowest person in a business enterprise shouldn’t post an 'ironically funny' Hitler Meme, let alone one of the wealthiest CEO’s ever. F*cking sick of people using Hitler as a point of comparison. He butchered my family. You don’t meme this. You teach it. F*ck off. Sorry.'

'Once again, Elon Musk has exercised extremely poor judgment by invoking Hitler to make a point on social media. He must stop this unacceptable behaviour,' the American Jewish Committee also wrote.
'Musk may believe posting a meme comparing Justin Trudeau to a genocidal dictator who exterminated millions is an appropriate way to criticise policies he disagrees with. It is not. It never is. Musk must apologise and find other ways to voice his displeasure.'
Musk has since deleted the tweet, also coming after he accused Securities and Exchange Commission of an 'endless' investigation to punish Musk for criticising the US government. He hasn't responded to the backlash, but he did suggest his followers read The Wages of Destruction, a book exploring the economic history of Nazi Germany.
