A brave man had to fight off four suspects who attempted to steal his car in broad daylight last week in the US state of Connecticut.
Harrowing footage captured from the man's Ring video surveillance system shows the whole incident play out, which has now been released by police. Watch it below:
While something like carjacking has never come into my head, I would suspect that majority of carjackers complete their dreadful crimes during the night.

Obviously, there is CCTV everywhere nowadays, but it is certainly harder to spot people when it is the pitch black outside.
Nonetheless, these four suspects decided to try and rob this man's parked car in a residential driveway in Rocky Hill, Connecticut in broad daylight.
The video footage shows just one of the four approaching the red Infiniti parked on Valley View Drive, who sneakily tries to enter the vehicle.

He does succeed in getting into the car, but he is quickly met with the homeowner rushing out of the house and pulling him out of the car with some force.
After a bit of a scuffle, that involves the suspect charging the homeowner, the suspect is then joined by three of his pals to try and win the fight.
Two of the suspects immediately hit the man's face while their mate was still embroiled in the melee.
While the two were grappling on the floor, one of the other suspects began hitting the man in the head while hitting him with an object.

While all this was going on, the fourth suspect was a measly onlooker while his three pals all tried to fight the man.
In the footage, you then hear a woman shout that she is ringing the police, which is when the four suspects decide to make a run for it.
Police have released the footage now as they need the public's help in finding the suspects.
