Marvel fans are upset after Disney announced that the release dates for six upcoming films have been pushed back.
The delays have been put down to the impact of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike. The last time we saw such widespread industrial action from TV and film writers was in 2007, running for 100 days before reaching an agreement.
As the strike continues, many studios and shows have come to a standstill.
The current strike began on May 2 after negotiations between the union and studios broke down due to pay concerns.

Scripts for TV and film projects across the industry are not ready and production has paused on countless projects from other studios as well, including Stranger Things.
Marvel has paused production on Thunderbolts and Blade while the strike continues, meanwhile scripts are not ready for the two new Avengers films.
However, it’s not all bad news, especially if you’re a fan of Deadpool. The Ryan Reynolds film will be released next summer on May 3, 2024 instead of November 8, 2024.

The news, as you can imagine, hasn’t been taken very well by superfans.
