Chicken-lovers, brace yourselves, as McDonald's has confirmed that the Chicken Big Mac will be launching in the US.
After a successful trial in the UK, Maccies fans in the US now have the chance to try out the controversial burger.
"We're always looking to give our fans more ways to enjoy the classic menu items they know and love," McDonald's said in a statement.

"Made with two crispy tempura chicken patties, our iconic Big Mac sauce, and topped off with pickles, shredded lettuce, and American cheese, this sandwich brings some of our fans' favourite flavours together for the perfect bite."
Sadly the burger will only be available in select Miami restaurants later this month.
"While not everything we test makes it on our US menus, we’ll use this time to gather feedback from both customers and restaurant crew as we consider opportunities to offer more delicious options in the future," the company added.

McDonald's CEO, Chris Kempczinski, said: "We've got some great global equities already in our McNuggets and with McChicken, but we also have some equities in McCrispy and McSpicy that we think we've got an opportunity to do more with globally."
Well, it's safe to say that the Big Mac always gets a mixed reception on social media, with one person writing: "I tried this many years ago at a McDonald's in Aruba , it was called the Chicken Mac. Wasn't very good."
Another added: "We already had it in the UK, 6/10."

While, a third person pointed out: "McDonald’s sells chicken Big Macs in Europe, Latin America & the Middle East. It’s good, except when they sub Mayo for MAC sauce!! You can’t have a Big Mac without the MAC sauce!!!"
However, not everyone was so critical, as one fan wrote: "I ate plenty of those in Kuwait. Always hit the spot."
A second added: "They have it in Croatia already…it’s outstanding."

Someone else said: "This already exists. I had it at a McDonald’s in Mauritius. Was delicious!!"
Another echoed: "When I was in Bahrain the McDs had a chicken Big Mac and it was glorious."
Some went a bit left field, as one fan suggested: "Please make a fillet o’fish Big Mac."
Another said: "Replace the standard Big Mac with 3 McChicken patties instead of buns and then we're talking. Chicken beef chicken beef chicken."

Each to their own, I say.
