If you were born in the year 2000 or later, good luck with recognizing who this actor is.
While Tom Cruise's Top Gun series, Margot Robbie's Barbie and the amount of movies Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson appears have allowed the actors to earn a hefty sum, it doesn't compare at all to the amount attributed to an actor who you may never have even heard of.
It's the ultimate flex, being successful as an actor and being, well, more than just financially stable, but also being able to retain a significant level of anonymity.

So, who is it?
Well, the 58-year-old actor from Chicago, Illinois, is best known for her roles in the 80s and 90s from TV series Square Pegs (1982-83) to 1987 movie The Lost Boys and 1996's Twister - so that pretty much rules anyone born in 2000 and beyond - although, her most recent role was in 2016 NBC sitcom This is Us.
However, it's important to note while the actor has earned a considerable amount from her acting career, it's really her endeavours outside of the film and TV industry that have boosted her net worth to an estimated $8 billion, as per Celebrity Net Worth.

In 1989, star of ABC The Neighbors Jami Gertz married businessman Tony Ressler, however, she was quick to note to The Hollywood Reporter in 2018: "Everyone thinks I married a rich guy. But I made more money - way more money - than Tony when I met him. I paid for our first house. I paid for our first vacation. I married him because I fell in love with him."
But how did she earn all that cash?
Well, alongside all her acting roles, Gertz and her husband are members of an investment group which bought Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball. The duo are subsequently shareholders of the team.

In 2015, the pair also became owners of the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Atlanta Hawks team, and are shareholders of the Los Angeles Dodgers too.
Gertz also founded a television and film production company in 2007 called Lime Orchard Productions.
However, Gertz and her husband don't just sit on their billions, but give back to the community too.
In 2010, Gertz and her husband were named the number one donors to charity of any celebrity by the Giving Back Fund, and she also sits on the board of directors for the Melanoma Research Alliance.
