It has emerged that the children who were rescued from the devastating Amazon jungle plane crash were told to leave and 'save themselves' by their mother.
In a devoted final act as she lay dying, Magdalena Mucutuy asked her children to leave her and save themselves.
This heartbreaking revelation comes after the children spent 40 days in the jungle, before being rescued by Colombian soldiers.

The four siblings were found over a month after a horrific plane crash in the rainforest, spending weeks surviving in the harsh environment.
Prior to the incident, the family has been travelling in Cessna 206 aircraft from Araracuara, in Amazonas province, to San José del Guaviare.
It is believed that the light aircraft suffered from engine failure and issued a mayday alert just before it crashed on May 1.

Whilst the children survived, the bodies of three adults - including the children’s mother - were tragically discovered at the site – with a massive rescue operation by the army to find the missing children.
Their survival is even more incredible given that jaguars and snakes stalk the rainforest floor, with the 13, nine, five and one-year-old being treated at a military hospital in the capital of Bogota.
As their story of survival continues to make headlines, their surviving father, Manuel Ranoque, has revealed that their mother urged them to save themselves.
In a press conference outside of the hospital, Mr Ranoque said: "The one thing that [13-year-old Lesly] has cleared up for me is that, in fact, her mother was alive for four days."

Continuing, he added: "Before she died, their mum told them something like, 'You guys get out of here. You guys are going to see the kind of man your dad is, and he's going to show you the same kind of great love that I have shown you'.”
Even more details have been coming to light in recent days, with rescue worker Nicolas Ordonez Gomes speaking about the moment they discovered the children.
In an interview with public broadcast channel RTVC, he told viewers: "The eldest daughter, Lesly, with the little one in her arms, ran towards me. Lesly said: 'I'm hungry'.

"One of the two boys was lying down. He got up and said to me: 'My mum is dead’," Gomes added, recalling that one of the boys asked for sausages and bread after they were rescued.
Rescuers have also praised Lesly for using her knowledge and skills to help her siblings stay alive, which included playing 'survival games' to find fruit and even grinding flour to survive the Colombian jungle.
