Matt Rife has released another Netflix special and it's safe to say that some people aren't happy about it.
The American comic rose to fame on social media after first posting his work on platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
His crowd work is what went on to get him a huge following - something his new Netflix special focuses on.

Titled Matt Rife: Lucid - A Crowd Work Special, the new 54-minute episode landed on the streaming platform on August 13.
Rife released his first Netflix comedy special last year, but some of his jokes didn't go down well with viewers.
One joke in particular that offended some people was when the 28-year-old seemingly made light of domestic violence.

To summarise the 'joke', Rife retold a story about being served by a female waitress with a black eye and implied that if she'd have stayed in the kitchen rather than serving front of house, she wouldn't have got the black eye in the first place.
The anecdote wasn't well received by some who labeled the joke as 'the lowest of the low'.
Despite the heavy criticism that followed, Netflix has teamed up with the comic once more and it's left a lot of people wondering why.

One person wrote on Twitter: "@netflix why are you doing another matt rife special? i cringed so hard seeing his face pop up on my tv just now."
Another subscriber said of Netflix: "He has the humour of a 13 year old boy omg who is watching this sh*t?? You people have no taste or standards."
A different person questioned: "Have yall thought about giving specials to people that are funny and do comedy?"
At the time of writing, Lucid has a 48 percent Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes.

While may have wondered why Netflix would release another special with Rife, others have seemingly enjoyed the comic's recent gig.
One positive reviewer wrote: "I haven’t laughed so much for a very long time! Everyone need to remember, it’s comedy!"
"You know it’s good when critics are accusing him of putting 'plants' in the audience," said a second.

"It’s a special skill to pull the insane out of almost anyone, and foster an environment that allows the audience to feel comfortable enough to share their insanity."
Rife has previously responded to the criticism he's received, writing on his Instagram: "If you've ever been offended by a joke I've told - here's a link to my official apology."
He then included a link - titled 'Tap to solve your issue' - which leads to a medical website for helmets for people with special needs.
