Ex-NFL player causes outrage for bringing 'stripper' to high school

The high school has banned Hines from ever holding an event there again.

Ex-NFL star Quentin Hines is in hot water with the parents of Detroit students, after bringing a 'stripper' to an event in a local high school.

The former running back for the New England Patriots was hosting an event in Mount Clemens High School, where an 'underdressed' woman was brought onto the gym floor to dance in front of a shirtless rapper.

The event, titled 'Peezy's Sweetie's Day Bash' was held by Rivals Professional Football League - Quentin Hines' minor league football organisation.

The party was originally supposed to be held at a stadium in Pontiac, Michigan, but when plans fell through, the event was moved to the high school gym.

As part of the event, which was in no way sponsored by the school, and had no high school students present, there was a musical performance from rapper O.T Rell and his dancers.

A video of the performance, which was seen on Facebook Live, sees the dancer moving around the high school gym to lyrics like 'twerk that pu**y, baby'.

The video spread across the internet like wildfire, and it wasn't long before the parents of Mount Clemens High School students lashed out.

“I don’t think she was a stripper. She was one of her dancers that was underdressed, and it’s unfortunate,” Hines told Fox News, after backlash ensued.

“I did not know that someone would come that underdressed to dance with him.”

School superintendent Monique Beels has also commented on the viral video, and assured concerned parents that Rivals Recruiting Worldwide would be 'banned from using any of our facilities in the future'.

Ms Beels stated: "The Mount Clemens Community Schools’ Board of Education and Administration are deeply shocked, disappointed, and disgusted by the inappropriate events that took place Saturday.

"We will conduct a full review of our current practices of facility rentals and usage, and work to ensure that our community does not compromise the values and actions that we work to instil in our students."

Explaining that the school's facilities were rented 'in good faith', Ms Beels said that 'trust was broken' and behaviour like this was 'not tolerated' in their district.

According to a Facebook page for the school district, an investigation into the event is underway by the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

"If anyone has video from the event held in our gymnasium on Saturday night, please forward it to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, as an investigation is currently underway", read the post.

UNILAD has contacted Mount Clemens High School for comment.
