Husband of police officer who slept with six co-workers is staying with her

The pair stayed together despite the public scandal around their relationship

A former Tennessee police officer who lost her job after allegedly sleeping with six coworkers is still married to her husband.

Maegan Hall is a former cop who had been based at La Vergne police station, and allegedly had affairs with six male officers.

Local reports claimed that the alleged affairs included that she 'engaged in sexual relationships' and 'exchanged explicit photos' with male colleagues.

The Tennessee police officer has been fired.

She claimed to be in an 'open marriage' with her husband, Jedidiah Hall, who confirmed that he would be planning to stay with Maegan, after reports of the affairs emerged.

Jedidiah's boss, Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin, spoke to the Daily Mail about the awkward situation.

He said: "I don’t know how he’s doing it, he’s more of a man than I am, but he’s trying to salvage his marriage.

“I don’t condone what went on at the La Vergne Police Department but he sure hasn’t broken any laws. He’s the victim here. There’s not a blemish on his record. He is doing a phenomenal, phenomenal job."

An internal investigation into the alleged sexual misconduct took place in December 2022.

A number of other officers were fired, including patrol officer Juan Lugo-Perez, Sgt. Henry Ty McGowan, Sgt. Lewis Powell, and detective Seneca Shields.

Meanwhile, Patrol and K-9 Officer Larry Holladay, Patrol Officer Patrick Magliocco and Patrol Officer Gavin Schoeberl were suspended.

Davis later commented on the investigation and resulting suspensions and terminations.

He said: "This is a difficult situation for our department and for the city, but I want to be clear that the actions of a few do not represent this department as a whole.

"This situation is being addressed internally with our staff, we are bringing in counselors to help our officers work through these circumstances, and we will continue to provide the most professional protection as possible for this community.

"We have sufficient staff to cover all of our patrol shifts and I have full confidence in our officer’s ability to protect and serve. We are working diligently to rebuild the trust of our citizens and our community.

"We understand this will take time and diligence from our command staff and officers to repair the honor and integrity of our department."

The other officers involved have either been terminated or suspended.

Hall filed a lawsuit against the city of La Vergne, her former police chief Burrel “Chip” Davis, and former sergeants McGowan and Lewis Powell.

Hall claimed in the suit that the men had conspired to sexually groom and exploit her after she arrived at the department, before then using her as a scapegoat when the sexual misconduct scandal came to light.

The suit said: “In place of offering professional development, her supervisors and the Chief of Police groomed her for sexual exploitation.

“They colluded in using their authority to systematically disarm her resistance and entrap her in degrading and abusive sexual relationships, even sharing tips on the best ways to manipulate and exploit her.”

Eventually, Hall reached a settlement and will be paid a whopping $500,000, which includes court costs, attorneys fees and expenses paid out by the city's insurance.
