Zelenskyy makes shocking claim that 'Putin will die soon' as he issues new plea to the US

Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a bold speculation about the Russian President's health

The Ukrainian President has made a bold claim that Vladimir Putin's days could be numbered as he issues a fresh plea to the US to bring the conflict to an end.

It's been more than three years since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, though the two countries have recently agreed to a ceasefire deal following intense deliberations with the US.

Earlier this week, Ukraine's defense minister Rustem Umerov confirmed the welcome news of a partial and temporary truce over the Black Sea between the two countries on Twitter, allowing for safe navigation and passage through the waters while stopping Russia's military vessels across the vast stretch.

The inching closer to a deal comes as US President Donald Trump has been navigating peace talks between the two with high hopes of bringing the conflict to an end for good.

And despite the Kremlin confirming it has agreed to the ceasefire, Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is treading cautiously.

He said to reporters: "If the Russians violate this, then I have a direct question for President Trump.

"If they violate, here is the evidence - we ask for sanctions, we ask for weapons, etc."

Now, Zelenskyy has made a bold claim about his country's aggressor as speculations continue to swirl around Putin's supposedly deteriorating health.

Speaking to reporters in Paris following a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelenskyy appeared to comment on the matter and said 'everything will end' when Putin dies.

He added: "He will die soon, that's a fact and it will come to an end."

As per The Express, the Russian leader's health has come into the spotlight in recent months, from his bloodshot red eyes and bruised hands to a scar on his neck and signs he may have tremors and a limp.

One particularly notable moment came in 2022, when Putin appeared to slouch in his chair, hold onto a table for grip and appeared to slur his words, reports The Daily Mail.

The theories range from the Russian president suffering from cancer to Parkinson's Disease.

However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov had previously slammed rumors around Putin's health as 'fake news' that 'brings nothing but a smile [in the Kremlin]'.

As for the ceasefire, Russia has reportedly said it would only acknowledge the pause in the Black Sea if sanctions on Russian food and fertilizer are removed.

Macron met with Zelenskyy to determine the best cause of action from the European Union to put an end to the war and stated the Kremlin must accept the ceasefire offer 'without preconditions'.

The French president also accused Moscow of showing a 'desire for war' and of adding 'new conditions' to the offer.

"Russia shall have no right of say regarding the support we are providing and will provide Ukraine, nor shall they set the conditions," Macron continued. "There is just one aggressor and one party that is resisting."

Zelenskyy also said he hopes the US will 'have enough strength' to continue to press Putin into agreeing to a ceasefire.

Macron also proposed possibly deploying armed forces from the EU to Ukraine after the ceasefire to help facilitate long-lasting peace, but added it would be a 'pacifist approach' rather than a fight back.

An EU leadership meeting held today (Thursday) will further determine how Europe could help Ukraine in the aftermath of the 30-day ceasefire.
