Pope Francis admits nuns and priests watch porn

When it comes to watching porn, it would seem that nuns and priests are guilty as sin.

Pope Francis has admitted that nuns and priests watch porn, calling it a way that 'the devil enters' your life.

Speaking with seminarians on Monday (24 October), the Pope was asked a question about the way the internet and social media would be best used by the Vatican.

He responded by describing internet porn as 'a vice that so many people have' and admitted he knows that 'even priests and nuns' have watched it.

The Pope slated porn as something that 'weakens the priestly heart' and encouraged members of the Catholic Church below him to stay away from watching porn.

He said: "The Devil gets in that way. And I'm not just talking about criminal pornography like that involving the abuse of children, that is already degeneration. But pornography that is a little 'normal'.

"Dear brothers, be careful about this."

"The pure heart, the one that Jesus receives ever day, cannot receive this pornographic information."

Pope Francis has admitted that nuns and priests watch porn too, though he wants them to stop.

His advice for nuns and priests who were struggling with watching porn was to 'delete this from your phone, so you will not have temptation in hand'.

As you might have guessed, Catholic clergy aren't allowed to watch porn as part of their requirement that all clerics maintain a vow of celibacy.

They are not allowed to have sex and they're not allowed to get married, with watching porn on the phone also counting as something not permitted.

This wasn't always the case, priests were not always celibate or banned from marrying, but it's been the way of the Catholic church since 1139 when priests were forbidden from getting married.

The Pope has been caught 'liking' pictures of models on Instagram in the past, which is a bit strange as his official account doesn't actually follow anybody meaning for his account to get onto those pages there'd have been some searching involved.

However, before you start thinking Pope Francis himself is browsing Instagram to look at pictures of models, his account is run by a communications team who might be getting a little bit too horny on main. You may also be wondering why the Pope even needs an Instagram account but 2022 is a strange time.

The Pope has talked about sex quite a bit since assuming his position as the head of the Catholic Church.

Pope Francis told people not to have sex before marriage, though young Catholics might be wondering what the right thing to do is since last year he said it wasn't 'the most serious sin'.

The Catholic Church has been rocked by repeated scandals over sexual abuse, including the discovery of child abuse on a massive scale.

He also waded into the recent abortion debate in the US, claiming abortion was akin to 'hiring a hitman'.
