In a new book set to come out May 3rd titled 'This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America's Future' New York Times writers Alexander Burns and Jonathan Martin analyse and explore the 2020 US election.
The new book is dubbed a 'definitive account' of the election and the first year of the Biden presidency.

According to the text, ex-President Trump, who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, had a room in the White House that he stuffed full of MAGA paraphernalia.
The piece of merchandise most commonly associated with Donald Trump and his presidency has definitely got to be the bright red 'Make America Great Again' hats (or 'MAGA' for short).
Worn at rallies, public conferences, protests and many more events - the MAGA hats quickly became a symbol for the former President's campaign and his supporters.
Trump's odd collection of MAGA memorabilia spanned from the well-known trucker hats to homeware to clothing and it sat right next to the Oval Office.

When invited to the 'stash room' back in 2020, Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy told both Burns and Martin that: "They literally hand you a shopping bag, and you took anything you'd like."
When the room was revealed, many questioned the ethics surrounding the ambiguous boundaries between Trump's financial interests and political responsibilities.
While the MAGA hat alone generated millions for this presidential campaign, Brad Parscale, his re-election campaign manager, touched on the exact economic worth of one of Trump's most well-known and politically iconic commodities.

Speaking to CBS News, Parscale revealed that the selling and the distributing of the red MAGA hats led to approximately "$45 million and one million sales by April 2019."
While the upcoming book, 'This Will Not Pass', seeks to explore the 2020 election in relationship to both the White House and Trump - the former-President has already been pulled up for his for-profit side business in retailing MAGA products.
In using his political campaign for personal monetary profit, many government ethics experts accused Trump of being 'unethical', 'bizarre' and 'wrong' according to the Independent reported only a year before the election.
