Man who 'tried to climb on top of cow naked' is attacked by animal instead and forced to be rescued by cops

This would have been a bizarrely awful scene to stumble upon

Police in Thailand had to send a man to hospital after witnesses said he tried to climb on top of a cow while stark naked.

A Russian tourist sparked concern from locals as he was spotted wondering around without any clothes on. Quite an odd sight to kick things off already.

That man was identified as 26-year-old Evgenii Kuvshinov and he ended up being severely attacked by a cow and sent to hospital in what would have the most bizarre scene.

Concerned locals in Surat Thani, southern Thailand, had already called the police on August 15 when they saw Kuvshinov wandering around naked but were forced to intervene when they heard his screams.

When he was attacked, locals heard his cries in pain and investigated to find the man injured, naked on the ground. They then stayed with the Russian man until police arrived.

Footage from the incident has shown Kuvshinov lying on the ground while the brown cow attacked him.

Witnesses say he attempted to mount a male bull before turning his attention to the brown cow that was tied up to a wooden fence.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and carried the Russian away on a stretcher.

He was taken to the Bannaderm Hospital to be treated for wounds on his bottom and abrasions all over his body.

A paramedic who treated Kuvshinov said they suspected the tourist was high.

The paramedic said: “We found cannabis in his car so maybe he was high. The way we found him, his actions suggest that he was trying to do something dirty with the cow, that he was trying to have sex with her.”

Police Lieutenant Thongchai Chaikit spoke to media about the odd scene and what the next steps he and his officers will be taken.

He said: “When we arrived at the scene, the suspect was being attacked by the cow. Witnesses said he had first went to a male cow then over to the female and tried to climb on top of her.

“It's possible he was trying to make love to the cow but we can't say for sure. There was no semen on her. He kept walking and speaking Russian without any meaning. He had no smell of alcohol. In his car, there were marijuana and his passport torn apart.

“We sent him to hospital because he was injured on his bottom, but he went crazy at the hospital and the doctors would not admit him, so now he is detained at our police station.

“Now we are waiting for the tourist police and the immigration police to work on it, then we can conduct investigation.”
