Celebrities are ditching Twitter left, right and centre after Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of the social media platform.
Many have publicly criticised Musk, while others appear to have quietly slinked away and joined Tumblr (we’re looking at you, Ryan Reynolds).
The Deadpool star appears to have launched a brand spanking new Tumblr account this week, but many of the platform’s users have expressed concern for the actor.

People were quick to warn Reynolds that Tumblr is the wild, wild west of the online sphere, leaving comments like: “Sir, ur kind doesn't do well on here... fair warning” and “Oh honey, you're in for a wild ride on this site.”
Another person wrote: “I feel so conflicted about this, simply for the reason that Tumblr is supposed to be that weird uncle in the social media family that nobody is supposed to talk about.
“But if celebrities are ‘officially’ migrating here we need to educate them thoroughly about Tumblr etiquette.”

However, someone else kindly offered up: “You know maybe, we should let Ryan Reynolds stay - the guy has his likes and following hidden like a true Tumblrina.”
Another echoed: “Honestly you might be the only celeb capable of surviving Tumblr without getting dunked on so hard you quit.”
As for the celebrities who have directly called out Musk, the likes of Whoopi Goldberg, Mark Ruffalo and Jameela Jamil have all taken a pop at the world’s richest man.
Speaking recently on The View, Goldberg said ‘she’s done’ with Twitter.
Citing that the billionaire 'called back some of the workforce he fired a few days ago' and that he 'suspended Kathy Griffin for impersonating him on a parody account' as well as the plans around the fee for blue tick verification, the star didn’t hold back.

"I’m getting off today because I just feel like, you know, it’s so messy and I’m tired of now having had certain kinds of attitudes blocked and now they’re back on," she shared.
Meanwhile, Ruffalo recently warned Musk to get off Twitter after weighing in on the Tesla CEO’s heated exchange with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who accused Musk of tampering with her account after she raised qualms with his running of the platform.
Ruffalo wrote: “Elon. Please – for the love of decency – get off Twitter, hand the keys over to someone who does this as an actual job, and get on with running Tesla and SpaceX.
“You are destroying your credibility. It’s just not a good look.”
