It's definitely a rarity for a couple to wait to have sex until marriage - one statistic even suggests than only 1-3% of Christians stick to the belief.

What if you're disappointed on the night? What if it's awkward? Are just two of the most obvious.
But one couple, Nate and Sutton, opened up about why they chose to wait until the night they devoted their lives to each other to do the deed.
The religious YouTubers post a lot of videos about how they live their life, but this one in particular gained a lot of attention.

Reflecting on the night, Nate said: "One thing that was crazy about the whole thing, I remember being extremely shaky, almost, and emotional.
"We were very shaky and we both cried.
"I think that just goes to show what a meaningful moment it was to the both of us. Answering the most commonly asked question - 'Was it worth the wait?'

"That's the easiest question I'll ever answer."
He went as far as to say that it was 'so beyond worth the wait'.

"We'd just committed our lives to each other, we have our entire marriage to practice if we are bad at it.
"Was it awkward?
"The question everyone wants to know, it was so far from being awkward."

She claimed that the encounter wasn't awkward at all, as the pair were 'doing things the way God intended it'.
Nate went onto describe to couple's wedding night as: "Beautiful, wonderful, pleasing, marvellous, magnificent, lovely, delightful, divine and ravishing."
Alicia and John Tucker are another couple who were completely celibate before their wedding night.
She shared her tips on YouTube for brides who wanted to do the same.
She explained how voicing your nerves to your fiancé if you feel anxious is an important thing to do.
More practical advice she gave was to make sure you pee after sex.
She said: "You can so easily get a UTI if you don't pee after having sex because there are a lot of fluids that happen during sex and if that goes into the wrong area, you can be in a lot of pain."
