There are so many dating trends flying around the online world that it’s hard to know what actually works and what’s true.
Whether it’s the new ‘shallowing’ trend or expecting men to pay for your presence on the first date, knowing what’s going to get you to the end-game in terms of a relationship is a difficult road to navigate.
But adding to the list is one Aussie man who has revealed the one lie he claims all men tell in a relationship. Take a look at what he thinks here:
Jake Craig, who hosts the Relatables podcast with Ottie Clarke, says there's one lie all men tell 'for attention', but many women weren’t having it.

After the podcaster posted his TikTok video, women in the comments refused to accept that their boyfriends were involved in the same lie.
One person wrote: “Don't lie to me, I'm fragile!” while another wrote: “Do not make us delulu.”
And a third asked: “Why would you say that?”
So, what exactly is this common lie that all men apparently tell their partners?

He said: "To all the ladies out there with a boyfriend who's always saying, 'I don't want to get married'.
"We say that for attention. We want you to say, ‘No, but I want to marry you so bad'."
I mean, it’s not the most shocking lie to tell as in recent news, there was a woman who came out and admitted the exact same thing but for women.

Marina Neuman admits to telling dates that she doesn’t ‘see this becoming something serious’ in order to spur men on to trying harder for her on dates.
However, some women were incredulous with the claim.
A woman wrote: “I feel like I have never come across a guy who's just joking. I wouldn't trust it.”
But there were those who could believe it and thought it made total sense.

A woman shared: “Oh, well this explains why my ex got so mad after he said this to all his mates in front of me and I said 'I don't expect to marry you anyway'.”
Some thought that it was men in their feminine energy who lied about marriage with one person calling men ‘girlies’ and finding it hilarious.
Another stated that ‘men want to be the princess so bad’.

However a third person immediately got the ‘ick’ from the revelation and wasn’t best pleased by the video.
She said: “This gives me the ick. It's giving girl energy. Men pursue women for marriage, not the other way around.”
Maybe his take was too hot to handle for the online community?
