People who have been in relationships with porn stars have opened up about the differences in the media versus reality.
Hopefully everyone out there already knows this, but porn isn't real. Like movies we watch in the cinema, it's all scripted and choreographed and, most importantly, full of actors playing a role.
As much as some people might like to imagine the stars in the adult films spending all of their time half naked and ready to seduce, they do actually have lives to lead, and people to lead them with.

The life of porn stars away from the camera sparked curiosity in one particular Reddit user, who took to the platform to ask other users about any experiences they've had dating porn stars.
"People who dated a porn star, what was it like?," they wrote in the post, stressing they wanted 'serious replies only'.
As people chimed in with their experiences many pointed out some of the differences they noticed when dating a porn star in real life, in comparison to what they see on the screen.

One Reddit user recalled meeting an adult film star while working at an 'upscale' strip club in the mid-90s, describing how she asked him to spend the night after they'd enjoyed an evening out together.
However, when it came to getting intimate, the Reddit user said the film star didn't want to have sex like it's shown in porn movies.
They wrote: "She looked almost sad when she said, 'Please don't try to f**k me like we're making a movie'. She called it 'romance novel sex'. She was big into dim light/candlelight and sticking to face-to-face positions with lots of kissing."
Another user added to the impression that porn stars are just ordinary people trying to live their lives as they recalled having dated two male porn stars on separate occasions.

For these two stars, the porn industry was just another job to help them make money.
The Reddit user explained: "Both guys used the money to fund their tech start-ups, with varying success, so I caught them on the tail end of their sex work career."
Another user claimed that the sex they had with a porn star 'wasn't good' in spite of them doing it as a profession, while another recalled having 'amazing sex, but not porn sex'.

Obviously everyone is different when it comes to how closely their lives intertwine with their professions, but the thread goes to show that you shouldn't trust everything you see!
