A marriage proposal at Super Nintendo World has gone viral because of Luigi’s savage reaction to it.
Public marriage proposals can be risky business, with some people arguing they are the ultimate display of love while others, who are perhaps more introverted, would opt for a more private affair.
With that being said, one of the locales for a public proposal is the Super Mario-themed attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.
Fans who visit are whisked into the world of the iconic Italian plumber and his brother, with up close and personal interactions with characters from the Super Mario franchise, the chance to play Mario Kart in real life with cutting-edge technology and dining options at Toadstool Cafe.

It’s no wonder why a couple decided to take the next step in their relationship at Super Nintendo World but they probably didn’t expect the tender moment to go viral for the reason it did.
TikTok user Bella (@bellabelli260) shared a clip of her partner proposing to her at the theme park in front of a massive Piranha Plant, with Mario and Luigi mascots standing on either side of them.
While Mario seems excited by covering his mouth in shock when Bella says yes. He even claps for the couple as Bella’s partner pops the ring on her finger.

Luigi, on the other hand, was a lot more stoic and TikTok users think his reaction - or lack thereof - is hilarious. The green clad plumber stands still with his hands on his hips and doesn’t make much of a fuss about the proposal happening right next to him.
“Luigi did not want to see that,” one commenter wrote along with a crying emoji.
“Luigi so clueless,” another fan said, while a third wrote: “Luigi did NOT care.”
Another Super Mario fan wrote: “Luigi is winning the idgaf war.”

“Luigi is just there for that check omg,” someone else quipped, while another fan joked: “Bro doesn’t play these games."
In Luigi’s defense, he does eventually react to the proposal and claps for the couple later on in the clip. Lots of viewers believe the mascot simply couldn’t see the proposal in his peripheral vision.
“Watching Luigi slowly figure it out,” one person wrote alongside the hand over mouth emoji.
