A woman on TikTok has issued a stark warning to those using dating apps after revealing how a date 'tried to kidnap' someone.

If you've not having much luck in the dating world right now, then you may be tempted to try out the various dating apps available in the hope of finding love.

And while many have found 'the one' using dating apps, there's no shortage of horror stories of meeting a date you've been speaking to for a while.

One of those horror showings has been shared on TikTok by a woman called Brookes Tok, who began by stating a pal of hers went to visit a man for drinks in London.

Brookes explained how her friend had been messaging this man for a few weeks before meeting up, though they had never called or video chat prior to the date in the English capital.

"On the day, she said she felt a little bit uneasy so she decided to ask her best friend to come with her," Brookes explained.

The date commenced as they sat down for drinks in a bar, but the woman noticed that the man didn't exactly look like the pictures online.

The woman then nipped to the toilet in shock at the fact the man is not who she thought he was going to be, with the friend staying with the man.

"As her friend watches, she notices he puts something in her drink," Brookes explained on TikTok.

The friend immediately notified the woman of what is going on, with the pair then planning an escape plan to leave the date without the man knowing.

But the man, who the woman began speaking to on Tinder, has cottoned on to the plan and questions the woman on where she is going.

"As they're leaving, there's a large van outside with five men," Brookes explained. "They're all looking at the girls in a strange way. All of a sudden, he comes running out of the bar towards them and he starts to shout at the men in a different language."

Thankfully, the woman was able to escape the situation, though she is certainly under the assumption the Tinder date knew the men coming from the van.

The video quickly went viral, with many viewers flocking to the comments section to provide their thoughts.

"That’s scary, thank goodness she had a friend watching her back," one person penned while a second added: "I would’ve ran back into the bar and asked the bartender to call the police."
