Several people have been hospitalised after a steam train at a popular amusement park in Missouri derailed.
The steam-powered train came off the tracks at Silver Dollar City amusement park in Branson, Missouri, with video footage and photos showing train carriages that had toppled over onto their side.
The park confirmed that six guests and one employee were taken by ambulance to receive medical treatment after ‘sections’ of the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train derailed from the track.
Stone County Emergency Management Director Tom Martin said a total of three carriages had turned over, and that the ride was currently closed.
