A recording of suspected 'paranormal activity' in has people weighing in, saying it's 'worse than ghosts'.
It took me three months of sleeping downstairs on the sofa with my dog next to me to recover from watching Paranormal Activity, however, I certainly wouldn't want to be anywhere near the sitting room or kitchen in this Reddit user's home.

A Reddit user u/Diligent_Lion1306 took to the thread r/Ghosts to share a clip from inside their home.
The video shows the moment a kitchen light fades out, turning completely off, before suddenly coming back on again.
The caption adds: "Please for the love of God debunk this. Started a few weeks ago here and there. Tonight was the most intense by far. After a while it just stopped. Hoping an electrician or similar can opine."
And it hasn't taken long for other social media users to weigh in.
One user brushed off any idea of 'paranormal activity' being at play, writing: "The fact that you’re just showing only that area and not your whole place lets me know that someone else is turning it off and on."

"Ummm…someone is turning the lights on and off and you are trying to pass it off as a ghost? Am I warm?" another echoed.
Others offered more practical suggestions.
"Thats worse than ghosts. could be a short," one wrote.
A second said: "It could be worse than a ghost... Rats chewing on your wires."

"I'd get an electrician in there before your 'spooky electric flashing' becomes a non spooky fire," a third added.
However, someone claiming to be an electrician then weighed in, and that's where the whole story becomes even more sinister.
A user said: "I’m an electrician in wa state. That ain’t no electrical issue!! Shorts don’t work that way. That’s a constant current being disconnected by a switch. Than said switch is activated. This is basic.

"You must know this apt/house is haunted as this can’t be the very first thing you noticed. I’m sure you have had other things pop off prior to this or get that weird feeling like someone’s watching you in random times."
Other users claiming to be electricians suggested it was 'likely the result of a thermal protector built into the light' and the wires in the light expanding and contracting with the 'change of seasons' and shifting temperatures, or else could be a 'loose connection'.
The original poster has since taken to the comments themselves to thank everyone for the comments and 'agree' the cause of the spooky clip is 'likely electrical'.
"I shut off the relevant breaker and it stopped," they added. "A few updates in response to some comments: It's not WiFi. The lights are turned on and off (by a person) by clicking on the relevant button. It makes a click. I'll post again later and demonstrate but regardless I am contacting our electrician.
