How to watch

Viewers can tune in live to watch the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson match on Netflix on Friday November 15.

Don't have Netflix? Don't panic: Verizon customers can get a free year of Netflix Premium when they bundle it with another subscription through Verizon's +play platform. Partnering services include Paramount+, NBA League Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

If you don’t already have a Netflix account, you can sign up from just $6.99 a month. While the $6.99 package has full HD resolution, it does include adverts. In addition to this, two devices in your household can watch at the same time, whether that be from a TV, tablet, mobile phone or computer.

If you don’t want adverts to interrupt the action, there’s the Standard plan, which comes with all the same benefits but without any ads, for $15.49 a month. It is, however, worth noting that as Netflix have cracked down on password sharing, you will need to pay an extra $7.99 to add a user who doesn’t live with you. Any additional member slots also cost $7.99 each.

For the most premium option, the $22.99 a month package allows you to watch on four devices at the same time and has Ultra HD resolution.

What to know about the fight

It’s been four years since Mike Tyson last fought an opponent in the ring, with him taking part in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. However, it’s been even longer since his last professional fight, which was back in 2005.

Compare this to Jake Paul’s last fight, which was earlier this year when he beat American boxer Ryan Bourland in a first round knock-out.

But given that the fight, which was originally slated for July of this year, was postponed because of health issues that Tyson faced this summer, it's still unknown what impact this might have on the bout.

It was reported that Tyson first became unwell on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles, with an ulcer flare up and the ensuing recovery time being why the fight couldn't take place as scheduled.

And Tyson and Paul will face off over eight two-minute rounds, with the highly anticipated event taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

While YouTuber and former WWE Champion, Paul, has won nine fights – of which six were knockouts – during his career, he did have one loss against the UK’s Tommy Fury.

Tyson, on the other hand, has a record of 50 wins and six losses over his 20-year career, with 44 of those wins being knock-outs.

Even though Tyson was the youngest Heavyweight Champion in history, there’s quite an age difference between him and Paul. 30 years, to be exact. So, how exactly will this impact the fight? Viewers will need to tune in to see.

Paul also has the height advantage, at 6ft 1in compared to Tyson’s 5ft 10in frame. But given that all but one of Tyson’s former opponents were taller than him, this might not trouble the boxing legend.

While timings have yet to be confirmed, undisputed super lightweight world champion Katie Taylor is also set to take on unified featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano for a second time in the co-main event.
