Kyle Filipowski's family have seemingly made a series of serious allegations about his wife-to-be.
Talk about the basketball star's person life has been a topic of conversation of late in the wake of the 20-year-old being snubbed from the first round picks at the 2024 National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft.
He was taken in the second round, however, with Utah Jazz recruiting the 6ft 11 basketball player.

In the wake of this, ESPN’s Jonathan Givony was one person to suggest that Filipowski's personal life could have seemingly played a part in him not being picked in round one.
"NBA teams are talking about the fact that they had question marks about his girlfriend being so much older than him, why was he estranged from his family because of this whole situation," he said on NBA Today.
"He apparently doesn’t talk to his parents or his brother and It’s a very, very odd situation. I personally don’t understand why it would cause him to drop like this into the second round."

Filipowski is dating Caitlin Hutchison, who is reportedly eight years his senior.
It's unclear when the pair started dating, but pictures online going back to May 2022 show Hutchinson as Filipowski's prom date.
They're now engaged to be married, with Hutchinson writing on an Instagram post: "Four months since the happiest yes I’ll ever say."

In light of Givony's remarks, the Filipowski family appear to have spoken out themselves on the matter and made some huge allegations about the former Duke Blue Devil's player's fiancée.
A person claiming to be Filipowski's brother, Daniel Filipowksi, took to X on Saturday (June 29) and alleged: "My brother is a victim and was unfortunately a 'perfect' pawn and target for this girl’s lifelong scheme based on his human characteristics and growing potential as a high-level prospect which started taking place in 2019, exactly at the time when she began her pursuit of him."
Sharing a series of screenshots about 'coercive control', he then further claimed in follow-up tweets: "Kyle…myself, your entire family and friends love you and are here for you!

"I have received so much outreach and support from families that have a child who has fallen victim to this same terrible and evil progression of psychological control and manipulation and my heart goes out to all the families out there who have suffered through this experience in the past or are currently going through this right now!
"You all are NOT ALONE."
UNILAD has approached Filipowski and Hutchinson for comment.
