MMA fighter Idris Abdurashidov claims he's been disqualified 'for life' after performing an illegal move during his debut professional boxing match.
On Sunday (October 20), mixed martial arts (MMA) Russian fighter Idris Abdurashidov stepped into the ring for his first ever professional boxing match against Iran's Bagher Faraji at the Ali Boxing Club in Phuket, Thailand.
And it looked like Faraji would come out of the match victorious, until Abdurashidov struck out in the fourth round.

Just seconds away from the fourth round coming to an end, Abdurashidov unleashed a kick at his opponent's head - an illegal move.
Despite the controversy of the move, the fighter shared a video of the moment onto his social media, seemingly boasting about the moment.
The footage shows the moment Abdurashidov's foot strikes out, making direct contact right with the side of Faraji's face, immediately knocking him out, the boxer flopping straight to the floor.

The post reads: [Translation] "So he debuted in professional boxing.
"And disqualification for life, this kick with the leg I threw away with a machine gun!"
It's unclear where or from what Abdurashidov has been 'disqualified' from.
UNILAD has contacted Abdurashidov's representatives and Ali Boxing Club for comment.

And it's not taken long for people to flood to the post to weigh in.
One Instagram user said: "You were getting embarrassing and you had to cheat. Classless and I’m glad you’re banned for life. 0-1 boxing."
"How are you proud of this? Easy to catch someone with a kick when they're only expecting punches from a shorter range. This was nothing to be proud of and you should have faced more than just a ban," another added.

A third commented: "The leg kick and running away from the ring, if it had continued for another thirty seconds, you would have been knocked out."
"LIFETIME BAN FROM ALL MMA SPORTS, BOXING, UFC, KICKBOXING, ETC. BAN HIM FOR LIFE," a fourth said.
And a fifth echoed: "Idris, this is a cowardly act and you should be banned from all combat sports for your lifetime."
Abdurashidov later shared a photograph of himself and Faraji clenching hands together and posing for the camera stating: "We shook hands between us, everything is fine, we made up."

However, a user noted: "This just shows he’s a good dude. It doesn’t negate the fact that you’re a clown who deserves a lifetime ban from combat sports."
UNILAD has contacted Bagher Faraji's representatives for comment too.
