German surfer Tim Elter has caused quite the stir after Olympics viewers got an eye-full.
If you tuned into the Olympics on Saturday (27 July), you may've got a bit more than you bargained for when looking to watch the surfing competition - the 'Blue Scrotum' at the opening ceremony was simply a warm up.
The 2024 Paris Olympic Games' surfing event took place in Teahupo'o, Tahiti and representing Germany was Tim Elter, who made 'history' at the Games, although not quite for the reasons you may at first think.
The 20-year-old himself took to Instagram yesterday (31 July) to share footage of his Olympic moment from round one, heat one of the competition.

The caption reads: "An Olympic moment for the books."
And the clip shows Elter catching a wave, before getting a bit submerged, popping back up again from the water, his trunks missing from the top half-and-a-bit of his bottom, accidentally mooning the camera.
He then slinks back into the water, the mooning lasting a few seconds.
However, while commentators may not have noticed - or deliberately chose to ignore the flashing and not give further attention to it - some eagle-eyed viewers certainly didn't and it's not taken long for people to flood to social media in absolute stitches over it.

A TikTok user - named @seekclarity.friends - was left howling by the whole ordeal, taking to their page to question if everyone else saw what they saw.
"No... What happened????" a user asked, as another explained: "Last wave pulled a surfers shorts down. Came up from white water with his buns fully out for a moment," another added.
A third wrote: "Why is there a plumber on the Olympics surfing team?"

"I'm so glad someone else saw that," a fourth added.
The TikToker noted: "We were CRACKING up."
And others took to Elter's own sharing of the moment to comment. Warning: NSFW moment with 'a whole booty' on show:
One Instagram user said: "I can already imagine the advertising for a new board short ! « This, will never happen again ! » "

"I don’t know how this didn’t win gold," a second commented.
"You are the moment of Paris 2024," another said.
Unfortunately Elter failed to qualify for the second round, but his Olympics moment has certainly left a lasting impression on viewers.
As a final resolved: [Translation] "Hahahaha legends must do legends things."
