An American football broadcaster was left fooled after a bizarre sex toy blunder took place during the Cincinnati Bengals’ home victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
NFL Week 2 saw some dramatic highs, including the Philadelphia Eagles edging the Kansas City Chiefs 20-17 on Sunday (September 14), and some worrying lows, including Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow being forced off with injury.
Burrow was later seen exiting the Bengals’ locker room in a protective boot after the team’s 31-27 win over the Jaguars. The sports incident greatly overshadowed the fact that the team had won its first two games of the NFL season for the first time in seven years.
Coach Zac Taylor has since confirmed the 28-year-old star will undergo toe surgery for turf toe, devastatingly sidelining him for at least three months, according to ESPN.

Grieving fans watching from both the Paycor Stadium stands and at home on CBS were later treated to a strange incident involving a sex toy.

In viral footage, a green dildo was launched onto the field just seconds after 26-year-old Mitchell Tinsley scored a touchdown in the third quarter.
The neon sex toy bounced down the sideline from inside the end zone, and the broadcast team seemingly mistook it for a penalty flag tossed onto he field by an official to signal a foul.

Appearing to believe that the controversial item was a flag, CBS flashed up a ‘flag’ graphic on the live broadcast.
The moment has tickled some social media users, with one taking to X to write: “I know the Jags are bad but do you have to call them dildos?”
“Lmao, love that the score bug operator hit the flag button,” said someone else.
A third, however, slammed the NFL, typing: “This is ridiculous, the refs are letting chaos happen on the field.”

"I dont get spending NFL ticket money to show up and act like the most childish person earth, whats the point," echoed another.
Strangely, this is not the first time that a sex toy has been thrown onto the field during a Bengals match.
A similar incident took place during the AFC North competitors Week 1 17-16 away scrape against the Cleveland Browns on September 7. Neither game was stopped, with officials deciding to just dispose of the object themselves.

18-year-old Kaden Lopez has also been arrested and is accused of throwing a sex toy at another WNBA game.
In the wake of the arrests, the WMNBA released a statement, reading: “The safety and well-being of everyone in our arenas is a top priority for our league. Objects of any kind thrown onto the court or in the seating area can pose a safety risk for players, game officials, and fans.
"In line with WNBA Arena Security Standards, any fan who intentionally throws an object onto the court will be immediately ejected and face a minimum one-year ban in addition to being subject to arrest and prosecution by local authorities.”

Community members from a meme-coin called Green Dildo Coin have taken responsibility for some of the disruptions, according to USA Today.
A spokesperson told the outlet that members began throwing green sex toys to coincide with the launch of the meme-coin, alleging they wanted to garner attention with ‘viral stunts’.
"We didn't do this because like we dislike women's sports or, like, some of the narratives that are trending right now are ridiculous.”
They added that the two arrested people were not associated with the group.
