Simon Biles' reasoning for why she probably won't compete in the 2028 Olympics has left her fans divided.
The gymnast well and truly bossed it at the Paris 2024 Games, ultimately taking home three golds and one silver medal.
The athlete became the most decorated US gymnast of all time in the process after claiming a whopping 11 Olympic medals over the course of her career.

And with the next Olympics taking place in Los Angeles, effectively a home Games for Biles, many of her fans expected her to make a return and attempt to add more medals to her resume.
But in a recent interview, the athlete has suggested her Olympic career is over, stating it would be 'greedy' to compete in 2028.
Biles sat down with Sports Illustrated as they crowed her their 2024 Sportsperson of the Year on Thursday (January 2), and the 27-year-old was asked about the chances of herself representing the US in the next Olympics.

And to her fans' disappointment, it appears there's a very slim chance Biles will return.
"Because I’ve accomplished so much, there’s almost nothing left to do, rather than to just be snobby and to try again and for what? I’m at a point in my career where I’m humble enough to know when to be done," she said.
Biles continued: "If you go back, you’ll be greedy. Those are the consequences. But that’s also your decision to decide. What sacrifices would be made if I go back now? When you’re younger, it’s like, prom, college. Now it’s like, starting a family, being away from my husband. What’s really worth it?"
There's no doubt if this is the end for Biles in the Olympics, she has certainly created a legacy others will find tough to follow.

"I can see it, and I hear it from people, and I see a glimpse of it, but the full magnitude I don’t think I’ve realized just yet," Biles added to Sports Illustrated.
"I don’t think I’ll realize ’til maybe I retire and look back in a couple years like, Damn, she was good. Because I can see that, but I do it every day. So for me, it’s normal."
The Olympian champion's recent admission has divided fans on social media.

"The real victory is knowing your worth beyond the sport. You’ve already won more than medals; you’ve won hearts and minds," one person commented.
While a second penned: "That literally makes no sense, you're the reigning champ of your sport. Defend your title every Olympics."
