A body language expert claims there are ‘three key indicators’ that show Travis Kelce was ‘embarrassed’ in the wake of the Kansas City Chiefs’ recent Super Bowl defeat.
Sunday evening (February 9) saw the Philadelphia Eagles storm their way to a defiant 40-22 victory at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, denying Andy Reid’s Chiefs a history-making three-peat at the Super Bowl LIX.
Following his team’s disappointing National Football League display, Travis Kelce, 35, spoke to the press, where he revealed what he thought ‘the most shocking’ part of the dramatic loss was.

“We haven’t played that badly all year,” the Chiefs tight end remarked.
After watching the sportsman’s post-match press conference, body language expert Darren Staton has had his say.
He claimed Kelce was potentially in ‘disbelief’ over his team’s toothless display.

“Certain muscles in the face denote certain micro expressions. We can see in this chat that Kelce is showing sadness, disbelief,” Staton said on behalf of Slingo.
“We can see the eyebrows pulled together and pulled down, the eyes are drooping at the sides. He’s embarrassed. We see the mouth pulled down.”
Staton, who is described on his website as a ‘human lie detector’, has also revealed there are ‘three key indicators’ that show Kelce was suffering from a bout of ‘sadness’.
The first was that the Ohio native’s eyebrows were ‘pulled together’, while the second was his ‘eyes dropping’. The third and final sign was the downturn of his mouth.
“He’s being truthful there in the sense he is not trying to hide the fact he is not happy. He comes across very pessimistic and sadness is the underlying emotion,” the expert revealed.

Staton has further analyzed his post-game chat with reporters, remarking that he was seemingly ‘surprised’ by one of the journalist’s questions.
“In another shot, we see his eyebrows raised, which denotes surprise in response to a question,” he explained.
“His eyes are wide, in that moment, he’s giving an air of sarcasm. In the last shot, we see a great self-reassurance gesture. In this case, it’s an inward turned smile.
“He’s preventing the sadness from leaking out. His emotions are getting stronger and stronger.”

Staton went on to say that towards the end of the interview, Kelce clearly looked as if he ‘wanted to withdraw’.
“His body posture is turned away, which shows he wants to leave,” he added.
“He still has an overwhelming sense of disbelief and sadness at the fact they lost.”

Earlier this month, Kelce put rumors to bed regarding his retirement from the NFL, telling journalists that in three years he will ‘hopefully still [be] playing football’.
“I love doing this. I love coming into work every day. I feel like I still got a lot of good football left in me,” he said on February 3.
"We'll see what happens. I know I've been setting myself up for other opportunities in my life. That's always been the goal, knowing that football only lasts for so long."
He added: "For the most part, I'm planning on being a Kansas City Chief and playing football."

Donald Trump makes an appearance - and fans can't work out if he was booed or cheered
Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl yesterday, but fans couldn't make out if the POTUS was met with cheers or boos.

The camera panned to the 78-year-old during Jon Batiste's rendition of the national anthem.
One fan wondered: "Did they cheer or boo Trump? Difficult to tell."
Taylor Swift 'aggressively booed'
While Trump seemed to be met with a mixed reaction, Swift was met with an overwhelming negative reception when she turned up to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
When her face appeared on screen at New Orleans' Caesars Superdome, she appeared to say: "What's going on?" as the crowd jeered her.
Trump, meanwhile, rubbed salt in the wound on Truth Social, writing: "The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!"
However, as many social media users pointed out, Swift was never going to go down particularly well in a stadium full of Eagles fans.
New Lilo & Stitch ad sees Stitch run riot in stadium
Like always, there were some major new movie trailers premiering during the game including Jurassic Park Rebirth, M3GAN 2.0 and Mission Impossible - The Final Reckoning.
By far the most popular though was the new ad for Lilo & Stitch, which saw the adorable little blue alien cause absolute chaos in the Super Bowl stadium.

Kendrick Lamar's epic Drake diss during halftime show
There was a lot of talk as to whether Lamar would perform his Grammy-winning 'Not Like Us' in light of Drake's lawsuit. As we all suspected he would, he went ahead - but censored the track's most controversial line which called Drake a 'certified paedophile'.
Lamar was also spotted wearing a necklace with a massive 'a' on it, a reference to his brutal 'Not Like Us' quip where he says of Drake and his team: "Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor."

Samuel L. Jackson, dressed up as Uncle Sam, made a surprise appearance as Lamar's emcee. The way he butted in by accusing Lamar of being 'too ghetto' was widely assumed to be a reference to a group of Republicans who wrote a letter to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, demanding Lamar's halftime show not be too 'lewd' or 'offensive'.
Serena Williams' surprise appearance
One person few people expected to turn up during Kendrick Lamar's set was Serena Williams, with the tennis star doing a 'crip walk' dance at the corner of the stage.
Not only was her appearance significant because she's rumoured to have dated Drake, but she was also widely criticised for doing the same dance at Wimbledon to celebrate winning an Olympic gold medal in 2021. Many said the backlash against her was racist.
Williams wrote after the Super Bowl: "Man, I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon. Ooh, I would’ve been fined."
