The first season of Super Sized Salon premiered earlier this year, showing as Lopez created her unique beauty salon that aimed to cater to plus-size clients.
It also followed her weight loss journey as she learnt to walk again after losing 400lbs (181kg), saying in the show’s trailer how she had once weighed 846lbs (383kg) at one point.
Back in 2017, Lopez explained why she decided to open Babydoll Beauty Couture, telling Yahoo how she had started off as a makeup artist and found she was ‘highly discriminated against for being a plus-size woman’.
“At 26 years old, I decided to make a change that would hopefully impact the world, and now at 31, I have had the pleasure of moving my dream to Las Vegas,” she said.

Lopez continued: "I was inspired by there being no place I could get my nails or hair done in Vegas that would accommodate my needs as a plus-size woman, and I decided it was time to make some changes for the plus-size women of the world.”
Friends and fans have been paying tribute to the late star on Instagram, with one writing: “I am completely devastated!!!! This woman was an inspiration to the world!!!! The way Jamie will be alive forever is by keeping her business up and running! She worked so hard to make all these wonderful things happen.”
